Everybody has his or her own pride,in this case can’t only be emphasize on only on one person. Both man and woman has their own pride but here I just wish women should have more access to this article than men because of their complicated nature .
I don’t think man has problems compare to woman,some times I do thank my creator for making me a man although many responsibilities awaiting me which I have to face.
Pride in other word is dignity,self respect,a high opinion of one’s self,a person or thing that one is proud of, the best part. It’s a person of more values with high opinion of one’s self,that thing you’re proud of.
Pride can be defined in so many ways,anything can be ones pride: - Your Money,
- Behaviour
- virginity,
- Parental Standard etc.
Anything can be your pride,that thing you value so much is your pride and it’s your duty to protect that pride. When your pride is compromised you lose some values, sometime you some one says this is not the person I know before which means people know you for who you are and what you are. People know what you’re capable of but there are some things you do people around you get surprise about it,because they never believe that you can do such.
We have two types of pride which is the bad pride and the good pride. If I should ask you,which one do people know you of,is it the bad or the good? Anyway no body is perfect but there is that special thing that people know you of,they always depend on and believe in when it comes to that area. And they never want you to let them down.
I said before that we have two pride types which are the bad and the good pride but here we’re to look only on the good pride for there is no gain in the bad pride apart from our selfish reasons.
Types Of Good Pride:
- A virgin: A girl who has never meet a man before has a very good pride and her parent is proud of her.
- An upright person: A person who always stand for good, he or she never stand in the way of the ungodly.
- Wisdom: It is the principal thing above all,money is useless without wisdom but anybody with wisdom can’t be useless because other people would always come to seek advice from him. Above all, Solomon ask for only wisdom. You can mention has many of them.
My boss always tell me,”it better to be a servant in heaven than to be a master in hail fire”.
Sometimes we compromise because of one thing or the other or even people force us to do what we suppose not to, but this doesn’t sound right because we know what is good.
Why we lose our pride: I don’t think it always in our right mind to compromise but sometimes we feel is the only way to get what we want.
- Desperateness,
- Impatient,
- Lack Of Self Control,
- Bad Friends,
- Lack Of Satisfaction,
- Dependence,
These factors always affect our pride,you always want to do what others do. Please don’t quote me wrong! I know we all have great men and women out there who we want to copy their roll model. My point is,we should follow people that are ward following,people of good reputation and people who has impact the society in a good way. Sometime we like to copy from the bad source, we feel good doing what is not good because that is what others are doing but we forget,we’re roll models.
We are all unique in different ways,there are people around us which we need to impact they need your opinion and your contributions. So see your self as a roll model and not a follower at all.
We all have boundaries,we never want to do beyond our boundary. But at times we can’t help than to adjust to our present situation,we always blame our self of taking a particular decision because you’ve compromise,you’ve lost your integrity,you lost your pride for a platen of gold which in turn make’s you feel worthless.
People no longer recognize you for who you were because you suddenly change,they are disappointed a song writer say’s “you are not the one I use to know,you are the shadow of your self”.
I think it time to find the lost compass,compare your before and now to see the similarity and differences of your personal life.
How To Maintain Your Pride:
I know it not easy to be Mr. right at all time but it always good to be good.these are things you should consider;
- Self Control: Although our flesh always fight against our spirit but we are always in charge. we have to control so that we don’t do what we suppose not to do.
- Self Discipline: The ability to over come a particular urge or interest. i.e some time you feel like doing a particular thing which you know is not the right time or it not right at all,but you because of the discipline spirit, you resist such urge.
- Contentment: This is just like satisfaction, so many people find it difficult to be contented with they have,they always want more.
- Self Authority: Don’t always let other people rule over your life,you know what is good for for although everybody may not agree with your own opinion but just be wise.
- Self Confidence: This is one thing killing people’s pride today. when you lack self confidence you have no option than to look for other alternative which may cost you a lot because nothing goes for nothing.You may also have other ways to maintain your pride but this is my point of view.
It always good to keep good image of one self, people know you for who you are. A good pride attracts good personalities and respect, also trust, opportunity and long lasting relationship in term's of marital life.
When you have a good pride you would always be honored and not everybody would come close to you because they know you won’t dance to their own tone, unless the people that believe the same way you do.
